Radio AM 1710 Antioch OTR

By listeners taking care of the cost of streaming it has certainly kept this station alive for the longterm instead of it being an expensive hobby I would have had to give up. I would like to say that AM 1710 is commercial-free but in fact there are those antique commercials in the shows. I'm not making anything on those :-)

The streaming expense for 2010 is 2,870.00. The monthly expense for streaming for the last 10 months of 2010 is $224.00/month. In addition, this year we are replacing the aging 2002 Mac G4 (which does all the storage, backup, scheduling and playout) with a new Mac Mini and external backup HDD. That will be $800.00. And with our legal issue this year in contesting Sound Exchange's claims to royalties, we've also incurred $1,000.00 in legal expenses. But that is still a lot less than paying the default royalty rates.

So our total expenses this year are $4,670.00.
